John Lindberg

John Lindberg has been in the security business since
1978. He founded General Electronic Security, DBA Dial One Security,
in Cincinnati in 1979. John acquired partial ownership of Alarm Monitoring
of Cincinnati, Inc. in 1990 and complete ownership in 2005. He currently
serves as president of both companies.
John was a member of the Cincinnati Bengals board of directors from
1991 to 2001. He currently serves as a board member on the Citizen
Advisory Board of the California Woods Nature Preserve and is a
trustee of the Austin Knowlton Foundation.
John and his companies are very active in the local community. His
volunteer activities include working with the City of Cincinnati's
False Alarm Reduction Unit's Citizen Education program, participating
in the City of Cincinnati's Adopt-A-Block program, as well as attending
many local charity functions. Dial One Security has been presented
the First Alert Professional Community Service Award in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. John has also been active with the Cincinnati Chamber
of Commerce since 1996.
John's education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical
engineering with an option in digital electronics from Ohio State
University. He taught electronics and microprocessor programming
classes at Cincinnati State Community College. Along with his other
duties as president of the companies, he also manages Dial One Security’s
internal company training program.
